Inspired by Jewish tradition and celebration (“Taanug” means “pleasure” in Hebrew), this refreshing and complex white opens with notes of green apple blossom, yellow apple, and citrus. On the palate, these notes expand with added notes of yellow flowers, lemon, backed by hints of sea salt and an elegant, lifted minerality. This wine pairs perfectly with grilled fish such as sea bass and sea bream, seafood, such as shrimp and scallops, and white meats such as roast chicken or turkey. It also goes well with fresh salads, pasta with a light herb or lemon sauce, and soft cheeses, such as goat cheese or ricotta. It is also ideal with vegetarian dishes such as roasted vegetables or rice with vegetables. Kosher for Passover.

Bodegas Pinord

The roots of Bodegas Pinord dates back more than 150 years, back to when Miquel Tetes Valldosera, scion of a local wine-growing family, established a home in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues. According to the family legend, Valldosera planted more than grapevines on this new estate, he also planted the seeds of a winery that would be known for its pioneering work even today. Founded as "Pi del Nord," Bodegas Pinord was not only the first producer of sparkling wine in Spain, it was also one of the first to pursue organic farming in Catalunya, and the first estate to receive a Demeter certification for biodynamic viticulture. Since the end of 2015, PINORD has collaborated with the World Nature Foundation, an NGO dedicated to conserving nature, biodiversity, and the environment. Today, the estate is run by the third generation of the Tetas Valldosera family, siblings Mireia, Josep, and Joan, and has expanded to holdings in Montsant, Rioja, and Rias Baixas.
