Winemaking wasn’t Laurent Montalieu’s first choice of profession. As an engineering student in Bordeaux, Laurent befriended a group of winemaking students. He helped with vineyard chores to allow for more ski time with his buddies. Years later, Montalieu became the head winemaker at Westmount Wine Co., located in Oregon's famed Willamette Valley.
