Vin de Days Blanc 2021: The new vintage of Day Wine’s Vin de Days Blanc vibes like a great Alsatian white with a little extra verve. Few winemakers can translate a penchant for wild experimentation into such approachable wines but Brianne Day's blend of French aromatic white grapes is enticing and alluring from the moment it's poured into the glass. Explosively scented with white floral overtones, fresh, ripe orchard fruits, and a crisp, fresh palate alongside lemony citrus notes. Vivacious and crisp, with no oak treatment this white blend is thirst-quenching, versatile, powerhouse that can be enjoyed all year long. Organic. 

Vin de Days Rouge 2021: From the storied vineyards of Willamette Valley this vintage is a blend of 83% Pinot Noir, 13% Pinot Meunier and 4% Pinot Gris which makes for a dangerously smooth, beguiling red that gets more and more interesting with each sip. Boasting juicy red fruits with high-toned aromas of tart cherry, cran-raspberry and lilacs with a secondary complexity in the form of black pepper and mossy, mushroomy, forest floor (a reflection of the significant proportion of Pinot Meunier in the blend). A crisp and refreshing finish brings you back to the glass again and again. Dangerously drinkable is the most appropriate description of this wine. Organic.

Hock & Deuce Red Blend 2019: Hailing from the idyllic rural country of Applegate Valley, this Syrah-Viognier blend is a beautiful expression of terroir. Organic and sustainably farmed there is a very pure expression of fruit and the rich volcanic soils that create this wine. The presence of Viognier smooths out the more tenacious aspects of the Syrah leaving lush plum, cassis and blackberry notes with a hint of new leather adding depth, lovely spice tones and a fresh floral undertone makes this wine a perfect marriage of beauty of power. Pair with lamb, grilled veggies or braised beef.

For the Mother-Daughter Teams: Donne Fittipaldi 

What’s better than a glass of wine with mom? A glass of wine that's made by a mom with her daughters. Donne Fittipaldi began in 2004 when the Fittipaldi Menarini family decided to plant roots in Bolgheri, in the heart of Tuscany. Run by Maria Fittipaldi and her four daughters, their goal has always been to produce wines of great elegance and harmony, but above all else, wines that expertly tell the story of the Bolgheri terroir. The elegant Bolgheri Rosso 2018 is a graceful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This wine captures all the luxury of Tuscany at a price point rarely seen in this quality. Fruity on the nose with notes of cherry, cassis, dried herbs, with the slightest underpinning of spice. Round silky tannins and a satisfying finish keep you coming back sip after sip. Easy to drink without sacrificing complexity, the Fittipaldi women look to create wine that embodies feminine strength and character. Pair with a wide range of foods from hearty red meats and medium aged cheeses to roasted vegetable dishes.

For Mom, From Mom, With Love: Hobo Wine Company 

A project from The Hobo Wine Company, a scrappy helmed by the husband-and-wife team of Lynn Wheeler and Kenny Likitprakong, Edith & Ida Chardonnay 2017 is Lynn's ode to their two daughters. She has said that the idea behind the project is “to make the best wine she can with the smallest environmental impact and cellar intervention as possible." These wines are ambitious, socially responsible, and true indicators of terroir, with lithe texture, and notes of ground cherries, white flowers, citrus and pear. It’s a gorgeous partner for any Mother’s Day celebration.

Jeanne d'Arc Chenin Blanc 2020 is a rare and stunning orange wine, macerated with skins for 6 days before all-natural fermentation in used French oak. The result is an irresistible, unfiltered sipper with flavor, texture and great funkiness. It's a great gift for a mom who's truly a rebel. Pair with grilled chicken, pork, or portobello burgers, creamy cheeses, or Mediterranean fare. Vegan.

For Moms Who Make Their Own Way: Victoria Ordonez 

Some moms forge their own path -- they are trailblazers, honoring family traditions and creating their own legacies. La Pasajera Rueda 2018 from Bodega Victoria Ordonez is the perfect gift for this mom. This Verdejo, grown on gravelly soils, is bright, fresh, and budget friendly. Passionfruit and citrus zest tickle the nose, while notes of apples, white flowers, and hay mingle elegantly and wash over the palate, finely balanced and smooth on the finish. The label is the work of Julia Diazdel, a young painter from Malaga, and depicts the famous story of a mysterious passenger from the ship, The Empress of Japan, that made a stop in Malaga in the direction of Marseille in the late 1930s.
