Ferdinando Principiano Langhe Freisa 2021

Freisa is cousin to Nebbiolo, known for its lush strawberry and raspberry aromas and freshness. This entry, from Piemontese cult fave Ferdinando Principiano, is romantic and elegant, with seductive complexity, freshness, and a fascinating texture. Organically farmed, this is a lovely wine to drink now with a light chill and braised short ribs or agnolotti, but it can also age magnificently.

Giuseppe Nada Casmar Barbaresco Riserva 2017

Fewer than 2,000 bottles of this complex and layered Nebbiolo were produced by landmark Barbaresco producer Giuseppe Nada. This Riserva is produced in only the best years, and is made from the best fruit on the oldest vines of Nada’s Casot and Marcarini vineyards. Nuanced and delicate, with a smooth, velvety attack, luscious fruit and hints of savory herbs that carry through to the lengthy finish. This wine is textured and fresh, easy to drink now with classic osso buco, lasagna, or roast meats, or cellar for up to 12 years.

Famille de Boel Je Vous Adore Rosé 2022

Made from 100% Caladoc, this rosé is full of freshness, fruit, and delicate flowers. An ode to a universal love, this wine exists in part thanks to the farmers who welcomed Famille de Boel to the area, and partly to the old farmer who expressed his enthusiasm of seeing new vineyards on the hill with a simple, “je vous adore.” This rosé has aromas of citrus, flowers, and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine is fruity with balanced lingering acidity, backed with subtle floral notes. Enjoy alongside chili con carne, lamb chops, and fish. 

Il Vinco Mistione Rosato 2021

This is a wild and beautiful organic rosé made from a blend of indigenous red and white varietals grown on the volcanic and sandy soils of Montefiascone in the Viterbo province of Lazio, Italy. Aged for three months in stainless steel and fiberglass tanks with minimal sulfur, the finished wine is smooth and easygoing, with bright and zesty notes of citrus, crunchy forest berries, and mouthwatering minerality.

Johannes Zillinger Numen Rosé 2020

“Numen” is a Latin term connoting the spirit or divine power presiding over a thing or a place. Made with almost no intervention in the cellar, this unconventional rosé is mind-bogglingly complex and is made by semi-carbonic whole-cluster fermentation in amphora, then left to rest for 8 months in the same vessel. The finished wine is filled with juicy bright berry fruit which almost leaps out of the glass. Silky and brambly, this is a unique and stunning wine that simply must be tasted to be believed.

White Wine

Cascina Carlot Fiori di Campo Moscato di Asti 2022

This organic Moscato is tailor-made for desserts and celebrations. Bright and refreshing, with just enough sweetness and intense, yet delicate aromas of sage, golden apple, and white peach. Try it with strawberries and cream, hazelnut and lemon cake, on its own as an aperitif or alongside a savory pie.
