Producer Spotlight: Camins 2 Dreams
A month full of love, diversity, and acceptance, June is all about celebrating the people within the LGBTQ+ community. Hence why we believe everyone deserves to see themselves represented in every sphere, especially in the wine industry. This Pride month, we're thrilled to be highlighting Camins 2 Dreams by spouse winemakers Mireia Taribó and Tara Gomez.

Mireia Taribó was born and raised in Catalunya, Spain, where wine was a part of almost every meal. She knew from a young age that she wanted to study wine, and eventually studied Enology at the University of Rovira and Virgili. She first came to California as an intern, and soon met her wife, Tara Gomez.
Tara’s passion for wine began when she was young and her parents used to take her wine tasting throughout the Central Coast. It was the connection of wine to nature and science that made her want to pursue winemaking as a career. After studying enology at California State University, Fresno, she worked for a few wineries, including Fess Parker and J. Lohr, and founded her first label — Kalawashaq’ Wine Cellars (named for the Native American village where her Chumash ancestors once lived in today’s Santa Ynez Valley). Tara is the first and only registered Native American winemaker in the country, and brings a unique perspective to her winemaking style.

Camins 2 Dreams was born in 2017, out of Tara and Mireia’s shared love for wine, winemaking, and each other. They source fruit exclusively from organic, biodynamic, and SIP Certified vineyards in Santa Rita Hills, a unique appellation in Santa Barbara County, that share their values of respect for the land and their workers.
Tara and Mireia continue to showcase their dedication to cultivating diversity, inclusion, justice, and belonging within the wine industry by donating fifty percent of their wine, Pride Red, sales proceeds to the House of Pride and Equality in Santa Maria, California, in support of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Gamay 2023
This single-vineyard Gamay is a captivating and aromatic red wine made with wild yeast fermentation and 25% whole cluster inclusion to honor the grape's distinctive character. Harvested in early September and aged for six months in neutral French oak, it opens with an inviting bouquet of violets, cherry, raspberry, jalapeño, green beans, and earth. On the palate, it is light and refreshing, weaving together flavors of raspberry, cherry, warm spice, and subtle earthiness, before finishing with bright red fruit tartness, vibrant acidity, and rounded tannins that leave you reaching for another sip. Best enjoyed slightly chilled during warmer months, this wine shines alongside dishes with a Mexican flair — think salmon fajitas, veggie tacos, grilled fish, and BBQ fare.
Pride Red Wine 2023
Light-bodied and refreshing, the Pride Red is a Grenache-based blend that embodies the full spectrum of colors and varietals that Camins 2 Dreams has to offer — it’s produced using every varietal used by Camins 2 Dreams — and opens with aromas of red fruit, spice, and florals before delivering flavors of strawberry jam, hibiscus, and tart cherry pie. The wine finishes with layers of brightness, freshness, and vibrancy. Best served with a slight chill, it pairs beautifully with prosciutto, smoked turkey, brie, pork, herb-crusted salmon, grilled vegetables, or a classic caprese salad.
