West Cork Distillery

West Cork Distillery hails from West Cork in Ireland, naturally. A fairly new distillery, they've slowly been putting together more and more impressive releases. Formed in 2003 by childhood friends John O'connell, Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy, their early years were spent in a basement barely making ends meet, trying to perfect their craft. Sustained by passion, skill and a mission statement dear to their hearts: Wanting to make Irish whiskey accessible, while maintaining their Irish history and tradition. In just under a decade, West Cork has become the largest wholly Irish owned distillery in the country, distributing globally recognized whiskies to over 70 countries while maintaining their “built and run by the people, for the people” ethos.
