Vigna Lenuzza

Schioppettino di Prepotto 2019

$33.75
  • Organic
This spirited, spicy, and velvety organic red is Vigna Lenuzza’s Grand Cru; their most premium wine, produced from the Schioppettino di Prepotto, the oldest indigenous varietal in Friuli. Dedicated to Silvano Pasqualini, the founding winemaker of the estate (and current winemaker’s grandfather), the wine is serious, but light on its feet, delicate, and medium-bodied, and filled with crunchy, snappy, red fruit. This wine sings alongside roasted chicken, salmon, and hearty pasta. It’s also a great partner for a charcuterie board on movie night with friends.

Vigna Lenuzza

Vigna Lenuzza consists of 8 ha of organically farmed vines in the small wine village of Prepotto, located in the heart of Collio and Collio Orientali, near Italy’s Slovenian border. Run by third-generation winemaker Daniele Lenuzza with his partner, Tanika, the winery and the family are committed to farming without any chemical products whatsoever. Intervention in the cellar is low in order to preserve tradition and terroir, as well as the heart and passion of the wine.
