Domaine Cornu-Camus

Savigny-les-Beaune 2021

750ml
$30
The Cornu family has lived in Echevronne, about 7 km northwest of Beaune, since the thirteenth century. That experience shows in this classic Pinot Noir, which comes from three small parcels around the Premier Cru site of Lavières. With pretty red berries and florals on the nose, and flavors of soft, ripe cherries, strawberries, rhubarb, stemmy herbs and baking spice on the palate, this wine is a true charmer -- accessible and easy to enjoy alongside cheeses, herbed chicken, and even endive salad with salmon. Sustainable.

Domaine Cornu-Camus

The Cornu family has lived in Echevronne, about 7 km northwest of Beaune, near the heart of France’s Côte d’Or since the thirteenth century. Pierre Cornu joined his parents in the late 1970s, and like so many of the best of his generation, was the first in his family to estate-bottle the wine. In 1981 he married Bernadette Camus, and Domaine Cornu-Camus was born. Eventually, their daughter Lydia and her husband Christophe Pertuzot (previously of Domaine Leroy), joined them, ensuring the continuity of this dynamic ten-hectare estate. Sustainable.
