Cantine Iorio is the project of two brothers, Pietro and Luca, who wanted to continue the family tradition of growing grapes and making wine. Their estate is located in Torrecuso, on the slopes of Mount Taburno in the province of Benevento in Campania, Italy where Iorio focuses exclusively on the native grapes Aglianico and Falanghina. 100% Aglianico that is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the essence of dark fruit and spices. In the glass, the wine pours a deep purple with ruby highlights. The nose is wonderfully aromatic with notes of blackberries, black cherries and savory spice. The palate is full-bodied with a fresh acidity and forward, ripe tannins. This is a clean and precise Aglianico that gives depth and richness with plenty of refreshment. Enjoy with grilled meats like beef, lamb or pork.
