Weingut Wieninger

Gemischter Satz Bisamberg 2016

In generations past, if you grew grapes, you made wine. It did not matter what you grew; you threw into a press and then a barrel. In Austria, this resuts in a wine refered to as a 'Gemischter Satz' or field blend. Weingut Weininger makes theirs from a mish-mash of grapes including Reisling, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The result is a wine full on the nose and palate with hints of honeysuckle, stone fruit and spice. Have a taste of the old world today.

Weingut Wieninger

Fritz Wieninger is the leading wine producer in the city of Vienna, one of the first to champion quality and excellence in the region. The grapes are handpicked and sorted before a breif maceration on skins and then spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks with five months on the lees before bottling.
