Since 1973 the Zerba winery has been family owned and operated in the heart of the picturesque Gavi hills in Piemonte, Italy. Always operating with a sustained passion for the land and the agricultural methods passed down through generations, the vineyard went fully organic in 2015. Today the winery focuses on making minimal intervention wines in the traditional fashion, such as this refreshing, classic, yet modern Gavi. Intense aromas of white flowers, peach, citrus fruits, and pear open the wine and wash across the palate with equal parts gusto and elegance. The finish is long and mineral-driven, making this summery sipper ideal for light appetizers, lemon-herb chicken, and fish dishes. Organic and vegan.

La Zerba

La Zerba was founded by Livio Lorenzi in 1973, fueled by Livio's sustainined passion for agriculture. It is a family affair and is currently managed by Livio's daughter Grazia, her husband, Andrea, and his son, Luigi. The name, La Zerba, identifies the location where the farm is located (Alto Monferrato in the municipality of Tassarolo, Gavi) and in the local dialect means uncultivated place. The estate is comprised of 12 hectares, farmed organically, and located in the Ligurian Apennines-Piemontese hills of Gavi. There is the utmost respect for the nature that surrounds the estate. Winemaking is natural and traditional, with minimal intervention. The resulting wines are highly expressive examples of Cortese that aptly reflect their origin.
