Gernot Kollmann is one of the most watched winemakers in modern Germany. After working at Van Volxem and then making the Knebel wines in 2008, Gernot had the opportunity (with partners) to purchase the historic estate of Immich-Batterieberg. This vivid, energetic Riesling is a blend from four Grand Cru sites of ungrafted vines that are a minimum of 60 years old. The aromatics are explosive, backed up by rich flavors of lime, ginger, green apple, and white peach. Easily the best value when it comes to quality-for-dollar, this wine is a great gift for any occasion.

Immich-Batterieberg

Immich-Batterieberg is one of the oldest estates in the Mosel, dating back to 911 AD. The winery's name is taken from the hill that Carl August Immich dynamited in the 1840s, translating to 'battered mountain'. The rocky, quartz encrusted gray slate results in complex wines worth savoring. All of their wines are also vegan and natural.
