Caspri & Co. is a new project started in 2021 by Bertrand Hapsiger, head winemaker at Fattoria di Caspri. Betrand's goal was to create the finest sustainable possible wines from the best grapes at the best price. Rosso No. 3 is a delicious blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Merlot from vines planted on sand, clay, and silt soils, with a high percentage of decomposed gneiss. Don't let the bag-in-box fool you — vinified in conical wooden tanks where spontaneous fermentation occurs followed by an extended 3-4 week maceration, and packaged with little to no sulphur — this is a serious, and seriously crushable red, packaged in a 3L format, which means you get 4 bottles of killer wine for less than $12 per bottle.
