Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 17750 ml
Each vintage of Ghislaine's wines are such a magnificent expression of the Chambolle terroir that we request an allocation of all three of her classifications. The regional wine is harvested from vineyards both within and without the Chambolle village and thus has the largest catchment area: Bourgogne Rouge. Chambolle-Musigny, its official designation, is located on the Cote d'Or escarpment, the geographic heart of Burgundy. It is one of the most renowned Pinot Noir producing villages in the world. A capricious variety not far removed from its wild ancestors, it has been cultivated here for over two millennia. No waiting for this one to open up ¬ it is ready to drink now. This village wine is light and effortless on the palate, full of dark red fruits and enough oak and tannin to balance it perfectly. Her insistence on purity of fruit, vineyard expression and minimal intervention all come together here.
