With 2022 being a dry year, the stems were more pliable allowing them to ferment a third of the grapes whole cluster — a relatively high percentage for Syrah. A little more than half the wine was aged in new barrels, while the remaining wine was aged in 1-3 year old barrels, adding an elegance to the wine. A dark and lush wine, notes of blue fruits, fennel, white pepper, and spice shine through.
