Sustainability, transparency, dedication to terroir -- these have been the basis of Cantine Madaudo's production philosophy for almost seventy years. Helmed by fourth generation winemakers Alfio and Andrea Maudado, their goal is to create an opportunity for wine lovers to travel through Sicily through every glass. The Maudados focus on “extracting the maximum quality from the fertile lands of Sicily,” enhancing each vineyard’s unique character through careful agriculture and minimal intervention in the cellar, utilizing different production techniques, from steel to wood, from sparkling wine in autoclave to refermentation in the bottle, so as to make the most of the personality of each vine.
