Schäfer-Fröhlich

Blanc de Noir Trocken 2023

$32

This beautifully textured, elegant wine is more of a nod to a traditional Blanc de Noirs (a white wine made from red grapes), than a rosé. Produced from sustainably grown old-vine Pinot Noir grown on volcanic soils, the wine offers notes of cherry blossom, lime leaf, and white cherry. It's an excellent aperitif and partner for summer salads.

Schäfer-Fröhlich

Schäfer-Fröhlich is a family business in every sense of the word. Founded in 1970 after a marriage of two great Nahe families, the Schäfers and the Fröhlichs, both of whom have been tending vines for centuries, the estate today is managed by Tim Fröhlich and his wife Nicole, supported by his sister Meike and her partner Mats Genheimer. Tim's parents, Karin and Hans, secured unique vineyards and established themselves with distinctive Rieslings. The estate currently totals 21 hectares, including six Grosses Gewachs classified vineyards, and is consistently heralded as one of the best producers in Germany by critics and consumers alike.
