Working with winegrower Ron Mansfield, Don Heistuman created this charming red blend with a unique, complex personality, genuine style, and approachability—without the over-extracted jamminess of many California reds. The wine opens with aromas of ripe red berries, fresh picked herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is light and fresh, balanced by supple, smooth tannins, that make it exceedingly food friendly. "Bebame" means "drink me" in Spanish. Just one sip will demonstrate why this wine is perfectly named.

AHA love transparent, delicious, easy, characterful, and deeply flavorful wines that are finely structured and relatively low in alcohol: Chinon, Bourgeuil, Beaujolais, Mondeuse, Marzemino, Lagrein, Barbera, Albarino, Vermentino, Txakolina. What they don't understand is why this style of wine is rarely made in the USA. While there is a school of thought that says American wine has to be richer, higher in alcohol, and riper, they don't buy it. AHA believes that if the grapes are planted on cool, appropriate sites, well-farmed, picked ripe at reasonable sugar levels, and truly minimally handled in the cellar, they can make just such wines without compromise.
